  • In the event of overheating due to overcharging or short circuiting in Li-Ion Batteries backed by high temperature, the electrolyte will vaporise liberating toxic gases like CO, CO2, HF (Hydrogen Fluoride)
  • The moisture and humidity will further exacerbate the situation generating more HF (reaction of LiPF6 with water, humidity) 
  • Typical HF concentration expected can be as high as 20-200 ppm of HF (NIOSH/USA Safety limit, TWA:3 ppm HF, STEL: 6 ppm HF)

  • Continuous monitoring of other toxic gases like CO, CO2 (gases generated due to the combustions
