MSR-Traffic offers intelligent parking guidance systems with single space detection for indoor and outdoor use

ALVI- India in association with ALVI-Australia and MSR-Traffic offers innovative sensor technology for counting and single space detection of vehicles in indoor and outdoor areas. Motorists are quickly guided to the next free parking space via a dynamic traffic control system. The connection to apps or existing control systems is possible as well. This doesn’t only increase the quality of life and the attractiveness of cities, but is also of great advantage from an economic point of view.

Shopping malls and airports have been offering their customers parking guidance systems as a special service for a long time – now this trend also continues with hotels.
Each holiday or business trip begins with the booking and the arrival itself. Hotels can only have a small influence on these two points, since many guests book the hotel rooms on independent travel portals and travel for example with their own car.
But as soon as the guest arrives at the hotel’s premises, the part begins that the hotel owners can influence significantly. In addition to the external appearance, which customers often consider as the reflection of the hotel’s profile, the stress-free arrival plays a particularly important role.
If you as a guest have already been stressed by the search for a parking space, the stay begins with a first negative experience. The time the guest had to spend to find a free gap, he would probably have used on the hotel terrace with a glass of wine.
Parking guidance systems with single-space sensors exactly solve this problem. When a parking space is used, the sensor (for example, mounted below the ceiling or outdoors in the ground) signals the data to a controller and a dynamic display shows in real-time where and how many parking spaces are free.

However, the systems of MSR-Traffic are not only suitable for large parking garages – equipping small parking spaces also makes sense. The investment in a parking guidance system is particularly worthwhile if the parking spaces are poorly visible or the possibilities of reversing are inadequate at full occupancy. It may also be important sometimes that every single parking space has to be used to offer all hotel guests the promised parking space. If, for example, the customer does not see that there is still a parking space near the entrance, he unnecessarily heads to a neighbouring street in order to park there at the edge.
With the help of sensor technology, however, not only the guest knows where and how many parking spaces there are – the management can also draw their own conclusions from the data from afar. The MSR-Traffic software provides interesting features in terms of:

  •   Statistics of the last few weeks / months / years
  •   Locating long-term parkers
  •   Reservation of parking spaces
  •   Signalling at full occupancy

Difference between UEL and LEL

Understanding Flammability and Flammable gases:

Mixtures of dispersed combustible or flammable materials (such as gaseous or vaporized fuels, and some dusts) and air will burn only if the fuel concentration lies within well-defined lower and upper bounds determined experimentally, referred to as flammability limits or explosive limits. Combustion can range in violence from deflagration, through detonation, to explosion.

Flammability limits vary with temperature and pressure, but these are normally expressed in terms of volume percentage at 25 °C and atmospheric pressure. These limits are relevant both to producing and optimising explosion or combustion, as in an engine, or to preventing it, as in uncontrolled explosions of build-ups of combustible gas or dust. Attaining the best combustible or explosive mixture of a fuel and air (the stoichiometric proportion) is important in internal combustion engines such as gasoline or diesel engines.

Lower explosive limit (LEL)

Lower explosive limit (LEL): The lowest concentration (percentage) of a gas or a vapor in air capable of producing a flash of fire in presence of an ignition source (arc, flame, heat). Many safety professionals consider this terms same as the lower flammable limit (LFL). At a concentration in air lower than the LEL, gas mixtures are “too lean” to burn. Methane gas has an LEL of 5.0%. If the atmosphere has less than 5.0% methane, an explosion cannot occur even if a source of ignition is present.

Ignition Curve of a flammable gas with LEL, UEL plotting
Ignition Curve of a flammable gas with LEL, UEL plotting

Upper explosive limit (UEL)

Upper explosive limit (UEL): Highest concentration (percentage) of a gas or a vapor in air capable of producing a flash of fire in presence of an ignition source (arc, flame, heat). Concentrations higher than UFL or UEL are “too rich” to burn.

Hence, safety systems and gas monitoring systems are designed to monitor and keep concentration of flammable gases below their respective LEL levels, or below 100% LEL. Therefore, gas detectors or system for flammable gases are designed for monitoring 0% LEL to 100% LEL.

Smoke Sensor : Early Fire Detection ..!

Gas Alarm – India in association with Gas Alarm – Australia and MSR Germany pleased  offers world-class solutions and products for earliest and accurate fire and smoke monitoring, without giving any false alarms. These products offer warning signals better and earlier than costliest system like VESDA, optical sensors etc.
Very Early Fire & Smoke Detector, Alarm Gas Alarm offer one of the best smoke & fire detector which can be installed at any environment eg. coal mines, flour mills, pharma, clean rooms, oil & gas, etc. Early Fire detector / transmitter (VEFSA) is designed for detection of earliest sign of smoke & fire, and hence thereby offering better warning detection system, better than VESDA. Using unique detection technology and method, VEFSA offer best fire & smoke detection, without false alarm. These can be implemented at any location with quite easy. VEFSA is compatible for integration to any fire panel and alarm system, be to Siemens, Honeywell, GE etc. VEFSA works in environment and application where none of the conventional smoke & fire detection can work. VEFSA, though being more effective than some of the expensive solutions, it even more easy to implement and integrate, without having much design knowledge.

As VEFSA provide earliest signs of smoke & fire, it buy the critical time needed to investigate an alarm and initiate an appropriate response to prevent injury, property damage or business disruption. VEFSA offer various levels of integrity monitoring to ensure an alert is raised at any time, depending upon criticality of the application and environment. This is not the case with passive devices that are generally only electrically monitored with no ability to determine if smoke can actually reach the detection element. VEFSA offer dual level of alarms which are configurable. This VEFSA to provide very early warning of an event, prompting investigation at the earliest smouldering stage of a fire when it is easily addressed. Other alarm levels may be configured to provide fire alarm inputs to fire systems as well as releasing suppression systems. VEFSa alarm sensitivities are configurable and can be programmed to levels ranging from thousands of times more sensitive than a conventional detector, to much less sensitive.

VEFSA can be implemented across a wide (all) range of industries and applications, with no effect of dust, moisture, vibration, temperature, weather, pressure etc:

Air Quality Monitoring For Indoor and Outdoor Purpose

ALVI Automation (India) Pvt Ltd in association with ALVI Technologies Pty Ltd takes pride in introducing cutting edge MSR Germany gas detectors for Air Quality Monitoring for Indoor and Outdoor Purpose.

The air pollution caused by exhaust gases from automobiles has become a critical issue. In some regions, fossil fuel combustion is a problem as well. The principal gases that cause air pollution from automobiles are nitrogen oxides, NOx (NO and NO2), and carbon monoxide (CO). Because NOx gases with sulfur oxides (SOx) emitted from coal-fired plants cause acid rain and global warming and produce ozone (O3) that leads to serious metropolitan smog from photochemical reaction, they must be detected and reduced

In addition, as greater amounts of oil organic compounds are currently being produced by applied construction materials and households, the number of people who develop various symptoms after moving into a new apartment (e.g., tickle, vertigo, headache, skin trouble) is
increasing. The principal gases that cause this phenomenon (called “sick-building syndrome”) are formaldehyde (HCHO) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Especially, formaldehyde is the most dangerous among indoor pollutants as it could harm all kinds of organisms. Considering these, the allowed concentration of formaldehyde in the
Netherlands and Germany are only 0.1 ppm. Therefore, gas sensors with excellent reactivity and stability are needed. therefore the necessity of MSR Detectors in a must for all Indoor and outdoor applications which includes gases like : CO, CO2, NOx, SOx, VOC, O3, VOC, CH4, NH3, CH2O, O2 etc.
